Rally for the DREAM act this Tuesday!!!

Last Monday, March 23, governor Andrew Cuomo took out the NY DREAM and the education tax credit bundle from the state budget. The DREAM act is a progressive bill that opens up educational opportunities to undocumented students by opening up the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). The education tax credit bill is a reactionary bill, that wants to give tax credit to people who donate money to education, including organizations that provide vouchers for students to attend private schools, which is part of Cuomo’s plans to defund public education.
This Tuesday the 31st, supporters of the DREAM act will assemble at 4:30 PM at 68th Street and Lexington Avenue to respond to this action of Cuomo.
